The William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) has received a donation from Micros Systems that will allow the college's students to use its Opera hospitality software in classes.

The donation includes licenses for Opera Property Management, Sales & Catering, and Vacation Ownership, all of which will be deployed before the end of the year.

Opera will be used in student curricula to educate up to 200 hospitality management students at a time in hotel, events, and condo management.

"Students at our college are fully exposed to the world of hospitality and leisure services, and this includes educating them on our industry's leading software applications," stated Stuart Mann, dean of the college. "Micros understands the importance of preparing our students for immediate success as they enter the workforce and has been very generous in its support of our programs."
