Plymouth State University in New Hampshire has deployed Rapid Insight Data Integration software to simplify data management. The school uses Data Integration to collect data from multiple sources and view it in multiple ways. The application incorporates drag-and-drop icons and arrows that let users connect the data sources to functions including merge, filter, cleanse, aggregate, de-dupe, flatten, append, sort, and rename.

Using the application, Slippery Rock tracks and shares information on student performance and quality.

The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. has chosen SunGard Higher Education's Advance service to support the university's advancement goals and position the institution for future fundraising campaigns. The Industrial Distribution Program at Texas A&M University has upgraded to Selltis Sales 5.0 for use in its supply chain systems lab curriculum. The Industrial Distribution Program has been using Selltis for its industrial distribution course offering since 2002 and recently migrated to the newest version of the company's CRM software. The Selltis Sales platform includes tools to automate marketing campaigns and lead management as well as quoting and providing field service.

In a move that will certainly be echoed by other institutions if it hasn't been already, Texas A&M University just launched a new microsite specifically to let students post YouTube-style videos showing what life as an Aggie is all about. The site, along with a new Facebook profile, is part of a university marketing campaign called "Do You Wonder?"

Jenzabar this week launched its new "Collaborative Source" initiative, a program that will make available the source code for the Jenzabar EX enterprise resource planning system.
