Hodges University has reported a 250 percent increase in online enrollment following its adoption of the Tegrity Campus 2.0 service, a class capture Web service for higher education. - CSU System Adopts Moodle LMS Services

The California State University system is providing new learning management system support options to its 23 campuses. Through a new agreement with Moodlerooms, campuses will be offered the option of adopting the open source Moodle virtual learning environment and will be provided with hosting, training, and other support services. In addition to Moodle, the CSU system is also offering a similar service to schools that adopt Angel LMS, a commercial learning management system.

Students at the Arizona State University (ASU) Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering now have access to more online lectures than any other university in the country, according to Sonic Foundry, the company that provides the Webcasting platform the school uses. North Carolina State University and IBM have announced plans to provide every student in North Carolina access to educational resources through NC State's Virtual Computing Lab (VCL), an open source, Web-based technology. Through this cloud--which is a set of Internet-based resources--students at the university, as well as K-12 schools and other colleges around the state will have access to educational materials, software applications and computing and storage resources.
