CSU System Adopts Moodle LMS Services

The California State University system is providing new learning management system support options to its 23 campuses. Through a new agreement with Moodlerooms, campuses will be offered the option of adopting the open source Moodle virtual learning environment and will be provided with hosting, training, and other support services. In addition to Moodle, the CSU system is also offering a similar service to schools that adopt Angel LMS, a commercial learning management system.

North Carolina State and IBM Expand Open Source Educational Cloud

North Carolina State University and IBM have announced plans to provide every student in North Carolina access to educational resources through NC State's Virtual Computing Lab (VCL), an open source, Web-based technology.
